This week Hyundai Motors Company released some exciting news about the company!
A new standalone premium brand called The Genesis is set to launch to push Hyundai Motors into the premium market.
As of now, the brand will be sold within the already existing Hyundai dealerships. The core cars that will be apart of this brand are the Equus (which there is some talk that the name may be changed) and of course the Genesis Sedan and Genesis Coupe. Eventually a midsize SUV will be added to the line up by 2019.
With this new brand, a new logo will be created and like other premium auto brands, a hierarchical alphanumeric nomenclature will be used. Which means each model name will start with a “G” and be followed by a number – for example “G60”
